When setting off on a journey, we choose what to take with us.  Out of a multitude of things in our possession – needful and needless, expensive and cheap, dear and annoying, undersized and cumbersome – it is a negligibly small portion that fits into our suitcase.  It has to be what we can’t do without. The main things.

The same goes for the cultural baggage. At certain point, we understand that the major portion of our possessions is not needed.  And it is a sin to dispose of it, for it didn’t come to us easily.  The solution is to embark on a journey, having packed that which we really need. The personal baggage. Don’t bother to search it – I’ll show it to you myself.
